Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar Disorder is a mental health condition where a person’s mood and energy levels swing between two extremes — very “high” (called mania or hypomania) and very “low” (called depression). These mood changes are stronger than normal ups and downs and can affect how someone thinks, feels, and lives their daily life. During the “high” phase, a person may feel unusually energetic, confident, or restless, while during the “low” phase, they may feel sad, hopeless, or tired. These shifts can last for days, weeks, or even longer, and are not just regular mood swings that everyone experiences.
